Fire Rings!
A burning issue in Newport Beach!
The question as to whether wood-burning fire rings should be allowed on the seashore of Newport Beach has reignited. Opponent of the fire rings are concerned about the air quality in the area while those opting to keep them want to preserve a long time tradition for beach-goers. The question: Which of the 11 proposed plans that were previously brought to the Coastal Commission are preferred and why? Final decision will be made at the June 10-13 meeting of the Coastal Commission.
Come hear City Council Member Scott Peotter, resident Denys Oberman, and a member of the Friends Of The Fire Rings to discuss this hot issue.
