Summer's Coming to Balboa Peninsula
A Look at Some of the City’s Hot Topics
Focusing on the Balboa Peninsula, from Lido to Balboa Village, Community Development Director Kim Brandt will present an update on:
- The Balboa Peninsula Trolley will officially begin service each weekend beginning on Saturday, June 17. Come learn about this fun, free alternative to your car for getting around the Peninsula this summer!
- The City’s vacation home rentals are also fully occupied during the summer season. With the huge popularity of online websites for booking vacation rentals, it is important to ensure that property owners are following all the City’s regulations and are obtaining the proper licenses. What is the City doing to enforce the rules?
- The latest on all of the new development projects under construction, including Lido Marina Village, the Lido House Hotel, Vue Newport and the Balboa Theater.
Kim Brandt joined the executive team of the City as Community Development Director in 2011, bringing 30 years of professional planning practice and extensive experience in all phases of municipal planning. She is responsible for Building and Life Safety, Real Estate Administration, Coastal Act compliance, Code Enforcement and Planning.
Questions and answers will follow the presentation.
